6 Bulls championship rings that security guard owned up for auction
A set of six Chicago Bulls championship rings that belonged to one of the team's longtime security guards will be auctioned off.
The rings from the Bulls' 1991-93 and 1996-98 championship runs are being sold individually through Huggins & Scott Auctions, with bidding ending Oct. 22.
Former Bulls security guard John Capps owned the rings. He worked for the team from 1966 until his death in 2018, according to TMZ Sports.
A great man is gone. John Capps, the man with the longest tenure of service with the Bulls passed away. He started with them in 1966 when the team was formed. You saw him behind the bench for EVERY home game. He was a marine. He knows hundreds of men who wore the Bulls uni. RIP pic.twitter.com/6ixQmncnqq

Capps appeared in ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary series on the Bulls and, as Scottie Pippen revealed, he would bet on the jumbotron races with Michael Jordan during games.
Michael Jordan would learn the results of jumbotron races and then bet a security guard, fully knowing the outcome.
