"The Last Dance" offered many viewers a glimpse at a side of Michael Jordan they hadn't seen before, but for Allen Iverson, it reaffirmed what he already knew about the Chicago Bulls legend.

"I tried the best that I could to emulate that guy, man, because that was the greatest that I've ever seen in my life," Iverson told Mike Destefano of Complex. "That's why I love 'The Last Dance.' I get to brag. While everybody was watching 'The Last Dance,' I was able to say, 'See, I told y'all.' I even saw stuff that I didn't know, obviously. But it was a great moment for me after it was all over, and I was able to say, 'See, I told you that he's the best ever.'

"As great as Kobe is, great as LeBron is, (Jordan is) Black Jesus, man."

"The Last Dance" footage was shot over the course of the Bulls' 1997-98 season and remained under Jordan's control for 18 years before he decided to release it. The series' executive producer, Mike Tollin, also worked on the 2014 documentary "Iverson" about the 11-time NBA All-Star.
