Vogel: AD day-to-day ahead of Lakers' opener vs. Clippers
The Los Angeles Lakers could be missing Anthony Davis when their season resumes Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers.
He was poked in the eye during Saturday's scrimmage against the Orlando Magic and didn't practice Tuesday.
"He's day-to-day, and while he's still dealing with discomfort, there is some concern that he could potentially not play Thursday," Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "But we're hopeful that he does, and we'll see how that plays out. He's going to continue to be evaluated each day."
Vogel wouldn't specify whether Davis' vision is currently impaired because of his discomfort.
The big man has been a dominant presence for the Lakers this season, averaging 26.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 55 contests.
