ESPN docuseries to explore backstory behind 'The Decision'

Ahead of the 10th anniversary of LeBron James leaving his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat, ESPN is delving into the lead-up to "The Decision" in a new episode of the documentary series "Backstory."

"Backstory: The Decision" will explore the creation of the live television special and its impact over the past decade. Investigative reporter Don Van Natta Jr. will provide several new details, including James' pre-broadcast preparation and former NBA commissioner David Stern's desire for ESPN to cancel the show.

The episode airs Sunday, June 28 at 9 p.m. ET.
