With the 80th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres selected Cole Wilcox, a right-handed pitcher out of the University of Georgia.

MLB teams pondered selecting Wilcox in the first round in 2018, but he eventually decided to join the Bulldogs after being drafted in the 37th round. The hulking righty teamed up with Emerson Hancock to form an electric one-two punch and was projected to be a first-round pick in this year's draft.
