Marvin Vettori and Karl Roberson were involved in an altercation Wednesday at the host hotel in Jacksonville after their middleweight bout was scrapped from UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira.

Roberson missed weight by 1.5 pounds Tuesday morning, tipping the scale at 187.5. He was pulled from the main-card fight earlier Wednesday due to "medical issues unrelated to COVID-19," the UFC announced. Roberson fell ill as a result of his weight cut and was hospitalized overnight, a source told MMA Junkie's Nolan King.

In a video posted by Vettori's nutritionist, Matteo Capodaglio, the Italian fighter can be seen confronting Roberson, who appeared to be checking out of the hotel. Vettori had to be held back by a UFC staff member.

Roberson reacted to the altercation in a tweet Wednesday evening.

Vettori and Roberson were originally slated to fight April 25, but the event was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This is the third cancellation Vettori has faced in recent months. The 26-year-old, who lives in California, traveled overseas to compete at UFC London on March 21, only for the card to be called off due to the pandemic.

UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira will proceed with 10 bouts Wednesday night behind closed doors at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
