Wade producing documentary about 2008 Olympic 'Redeem Team'
A documentary is in the works about the United States men's basketball team that won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade revealed on "The Platform" podcast that he's one of the executive producers.
"We're doing a documentary on the 2008 'Redeem Team' ... it's something that we've been working on for the last year or so," Wade said. "So, I'm executive producing it with a good team and I can't wait, because for me, that was a big year, 2008. I had to kind of redeem myself, because everybody thought I was done. But that was an amazing time, man."
Along with Wade, the "Redeem Team" squad also featured Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, and Dwight Howard. The United States defeated Spain 118-107 in the final to capture the gold medal for the first time since 2000.
The team was previously the subject of a 2008 documentary from Nike called "Road to Redemption."
