Los Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams is paying tribute to the late Kobe Bryant with a new song.

Ahead of the release of his new EP, "Syx Piece," on Friday, Williams shared a track called "24" that reflects on his friendship with Bryant and what the NBA great meant to him. It features contributions from Atlanta rapper Landstrip Chip and Houston singer Mitchelle'l.

"I just wanted to write an open letter to a dear friend of mine," Williams told Joe Price of Complex.

Williams was teammates with Bryant on the Los Angeles Lakers during the latter's final NBA season in 2015-16.
