Edwards-Helaire becomes 7th LSU underclassman to turn pro

Clyde Edwards-Helaire added to the exodus from LSU following the team's national championship game victory, becoming the program's seventh underclassman to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
The running back declared for the draft on Wednesday night.
Edwards-Helaire rushed for 1,414 yards and an SEC-best 16 touchdowns for the Tigers in 2019, his first campaign as the featured back. The Baton Rouge native wraps up his LSU career with 2,103 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground over parts of three seasons.
Six others from LSU have announced for the draft since winning the national title.

The Tigers are also losing several other contributors to graduation, including quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow.
