After LeBron James aggravated a groin injury in the first quarter of Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, several members of the Los Angeles Lakers organization are urging the superstar to sit out until he is fully recovered, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

The injury forced James to miss his first game of the season this past Sunday - a loss to the Denver Nuggets - and he aggravated the ailment after taking a charge from Patrick Beverley during the Christmas Day contest.

The 15-time All-Star and four-time MVP told McMenamin he "felt healthy going into the game," adding "I got kneed in the groin taking a charge from Pat Bev, and it kind of set me right back to where I was five days ago."

James, who turns 35 on Dec. 30, went on to play 39 minutes in the 111-106 loss to the Clippers - the Lakers' fourth straight defeat.

"If I'm feeling great, I'll be in the lineup. If I'm feeling well, I'll be in the lineup," James told McMenamin regarding the Lakers' upcoming back-to-back against the Portland Trail Blazers and Dallas Mavericks this weekend. "We'll see what happens."
