Michigan State will retire Draymond Green's jersey at halftime Tuesday to celebrate his accomplishments and contributions over four seasons under Spartans head coach Tom Izzo.

Steve Kerr, Green's current head coach, will be in attendance, along with Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob and general manager Bob Myers. Kerr said he envisions a similar ceremony taking place a few years down the road to honor the forward.

"We're probably going to retire his jersey in San Francisco someday," Kerr acknowledged, per the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau.

Green averaged 10.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists with Michigan State. The three-time NBA champion enjoyed his best season with the Spartans as a senior, averaging a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double en route to a 29-8 record.

What stands out to Kerr from Green's time at Michigan State isn't statistics, however, but loyalty and leadership.

"He left his heart and soul on that court wearing the green and white. So, for me, it's a great example of what he's done for us," Kerr said.

He added, "I love the fact that he's so loyal to his school. That's his foundation, that's his rock. We've been the beneficiary of everything Coach Izzo and the school did for Draymond."
