Another juggernaut has fallen.

Nathan Bain converted a fast-break layup with time expiring as Stephen F. Austin upset No. 1 Duke 85-83 in overtime Tuesday.

Stephen F. Austin entered the game as a +28 underdog. It marks the the largest upset by a Division I team in the past 15 seasons, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

"They had 64 points in the paint and forced 22 turnovers. They just played a lot tougher and better and deserved to win," Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski acknowledged postgame.

The shocking result marks Duke's first nonconference loss at home since 2000 against St. John's, ending the Blue Devils' streak of 150 nonconference home wins.

It's also Duke's third-ever nonconference overtime loss at Cameron Indoor Stadium, the last such defeat coming in 1981 against Vanderbilt, according to Patrick Stevens of The Athletic.

The Lumberjacks - who battled back from a 15-point deficit - also handed the Blue Devils their first loss against an unranked non-Power Conference team since January 1983, per Sports Illustrated.

Bain finished with 11 points, while Kevon Harris led the Lumberjacks with a game-high 26. Duke freshman Vernon Carey Jr. totaled 20 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocks in the losing effort.

The Blue Devils are the third No. 1-ranked team to lose in the opening month this season. Michigan State fell to Kentucky at the Champions Classic, and the Wildcats then suffered a shocking defeat to Evansville on Nov. 12.
