Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will be re-evaluated in three months after undergoing surgery on his broken left hand, the team announced Friday.

The 31-year-old sustained the injury in Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Suns when opposing center Aron Baynes landed awkwardly on the two-time MVP.

Prior to Wednesday, Curry had averaged 24 points, 6.7 assists, and five rebounds through three contests.

The Warriors are now faced with their toughest challenge in years. With Curry joining backcourt mate Klay Thompson among the team's long-term injuries and mainstays Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala, and Shaun Livingston having departed during the offseason, the onus will fall on three-time All-Star Draymond Green and 2019 All-Star D'Angelo Russell to keep the ship afloat.

Even still, the Warriors were just 1-3 to start the year with Curry. It's the first time Golden State has had a losing record through four games since the start of the 2009-10 season.
