Ingles at peace with potential move to bench: 'It doesn't bother me at all'
Joe Ingles is taking his likely move to the Utah Jazz's bench in stride. Save for an exhibition game against the Adelaide 36ers of Australia's NBL, the veteran wing has come off the bench in both of his other preseason outings to date.
"At 32, it's a new challenge, which excites me," Ingles said prior to Monday's preseason game against the Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon. "I honestly haven’t sat at home and lost any sleep over starting or not. It doesn’t bother me at all."
A frequent member of the Jazz's bench mob earlier in his tenure with the team, Ingles has come off the bench just once in 163 appearances over the past two seasons.
But with a number of additions to the team this past offseason, including forwards Bojan Bogdanovic and Jeff Green, Jazz coach Quin Snyder has a number of considerations to make in regards to his starting five.
