Shaq inks deal to develop scripted, non-scripted TV series

Shaquille O'Neal's business empire continues to grow.

The NBA legend and his business partner, Michael Parris, have struck a deal with production company Back Roads Entertainment to create, develop, and produce scripted and non-scripted television series, according to Peter White of Deadline. Shaq will initially be focusing on game shows, comedy, and family entertainment.

"I'm happy to be teaming up with Back Roads Entertainment," Shaq said in a statement. "This partnership is big and that's how I like to do things ... big. Get ready for some incredible content."

Shaq previously hosted the ABC reality show "Shaq's Big Challenge" and will be the focus of an upcoming TNT documentary series called "Shaq Life."
