Buy - Justin Fields (16-1)

Fields was a player we endorsed plenty this past offseason in our Heisman coverage. His candidacy has all the essential features that voters typically veer toward - a dual-threat quarterback representing a prestigious program that should flirt with double-digit wins - and Week 1 was a good start. After transferring in from Georgia, Fields racked up 234 passing yards, 61 more on the ground, and four total touchdowns in a win over Florida Atlantic. He's still progressing as a passer, so expect him to get better as the season rolls along. We already liked him at 12-1, so we'll certainly buy again at this number.

Buy - Jalen Hurts (15-2)

This is probably the final time to get some skin in the game on Hurts before his price skyrockets. Oklahoma's new starting quarterback was brilliant in his Sooners debut, going off for more than 500 total yards and six touchdowns in a double-digit win over Houston. Head coach Lincoln Riley drummed up yet another masterful offensive game plan, and he could very well send his third straight quarterback to the podium by the end of this season.

Sell - Sam Ehlinger (20-1)

Ehlinger probably hasn't peaked just yet in the Heisman odds, seeing as he'll face a soft stretch against Rice, Kansas, and a couple of other Big 12 defenses beginning in Week 3. But after lighting up the scoreboard against Louisiana Tech, the Texas QB will be in a rough spot on Saturday. The Longhorns will have to deal with an LSU secondary that's loaded with NFL potential, which could put a dent in Ehlinger's Heisman odds once the numbers get released next weekend.

Sell - Jonathan Taylor (16-1)

Taylor was one of the headliners in Week 1. Wisconsin's running back piled up 135 yards on the ground, 48 more through the air, and four total touchdowns in the Badgers' rout of South Florida. Taylor could sustain that production throughout the season, but would it move the needle all that much? He's coming off a 2018 campaign in which he rushed for 2,194 yards and 16 touchdowns ... and was barely noticed in the award race. The climb to 16-1 is justified, but Taylor is someone you should sell high on now, and again once Big Ten play begins.

Sell - Kellen Mond (40-1)

Mond's a lower-tier flier who some might be keen on given his dual-threat abilities and Texas A&M's overall potential. However, Week 2 is a perfect sell spot considering Mond and the Aggies' offense will travel to face No. 1 Clemson in Death Valley. There are more potential losses on the schedule down the road, and this is probably his peak.
