A love letter written by a teenage Michael Jordan is up for grabs at the annual National Sports Collectors Convention.

The letter, addressed to "My Precious Love," is being sold for $12,000 and is accompanied by a photo of Jordan and his high school sweetheart, Laquetta Robinson.

"I am writing you to tell you what I have been telling you so long: 'I Love You,'" the letter reads. Jordan goes on to say that he's "very sorry for putting you through that" and asks how her family is doing.

In 2011, another letter written by Jordan to Robinson in high school went viral. In that letter, he asked for forgiveness after making her "look pretty rotten."

Robinson later told a North Carolina news station that she didn't sell the letter and suspected family members may have taken it along with other items, including an original Jordan jersey and photos of them.
