"Space Jam 2" has a new director.
Malcolm D. Lee - best known for directing 2017's "Girls Trip" and 2013's "The Best Man Holiday" - will be taking over from Terence Nance, according to Anthony D'Alessandro of Deadline.
Nance's departure was reportedly amicable and stemmed from differences in creative visions between himself and the film's producers, which include LeBron James, Maverick Carter, and Ryan Coogler.
"Space Jam 2" is set to hit theaters July 16, 2021.
