Members of the Nigeria women's team threatened to stage a sit-in at their hotel in France because of outstanding bonuses they claimed the country's soccer federation owed them.

Following the team's elimination from the 2019 Women's World Cup on Saturday, players told ESPN FC's Colin Udoh that they'd yet to be compensated in full for bonuses from as far back as two years ago and that they were also owed five days' worth of daily allowance from their time in France.

However, the issue was apparently resolved during an overnight meeting with Aisha Falode, the president of the Nigeria Women Football League, and the players will now leave their hotel in Grenoble, according to BBC Sport.

"We have paid them everything they are being owed," Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick told ESPN FC.

"The only thing outstanding is the (World Cup) participation fee from FIFA, which is not expected to come until after the tournament. But they insist that they want to get paid, as they have spoken to players from Cameroon and France, who told them they have already been paid."

Nigeria reached the knockout stage of the Women's World Cup for the first time in 20 years before bowing out with a 3-0 loss to Germany.
