Dorofeyev earned a call-up to the KHL this past season after lighting up the Russian junior league with nearly a goal per game.
Though he managed only two points through 23 contests with Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Dorofeyev showed off his offensive abilities at the junior level with a combined 36 goals and 34 assists in 67 regular-season games over two campaigns.
The winger was named to the MHL All-Star team this season and collected two goals and two assists in five games at the Under-18 World Championship in 2018.
Dorofeyev models his game after Tampa Bay Lightning superstar and Hart Trophy winner Nikita Kucherov, according to NHL.com.
What they're saying
"Dorofeyev is a talented all-around threat in the offensive zone. He's creative, he can thread passes into tough lanes, and he can play through defenders with his puck skills." - The Athletic's Corey Pronman
