With the No. 10 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Atlanta Hawks selected Duke forward Cam Reddish.
Alongside Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, Reddish was part of the Blue Devils' heralded recruiting class last year and was even rated ahead of Williamson in some recruiting rankings.
Despite some big games, however, Reddish frequently ended up buried behind his two high-profile teammates. A knee injury kept him out the starting lineup in Duke's season-ending loss to Michigan State in the Elite Eight, and he also underwent a core muscle procedure in May.
Bio
NBA position: SF
School: Duke
College experience: Freshman
Height: 6-foot-8
Weight: 208 lbs
Wingspan: 7-foot
Max vertical: N/A
Strengths
- He's considered one the most high-upside players in the draft given his length, scoring abilities, and defensive potential
- Fluid athlete with a strong handle; can be explosive off the bounce
- Has the tools to excel in an up-tempo NBA offense
Weaknesses
- While his jumper looks silky smooth, he shot just 36 percent from the floor in his one season at Duke. His effective field goal percentage of 46 is one of the lowest of any projected first-round pick
- Scouts have questioned his motor, although that could be a byproduct of the fact he's still learning how to play off-ball after being a point guard for most of his prep career
