Padres' Tatis suffers hamstring injury after doing splits at 2B
Fernando Tatis Jr. was forced out of Sunday's contest against the Washington Nationals in the 10th inning after the San Diego Padres shortstop went into the splits while attempting to make a play at second base.
After a brief delay, Tatis was replaced by Francisco Mejia. Mejia moved to the outfield while Wil Myers came in from left field to take over at shortstop.

The Padres did not provide an update on Tatis after the game and are currently unsure how much time - if any - the star shortstop will miss.
"Hamstrings are funny things," manager Andy Green said, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune. "You never know. He might feel great tomorrow. It might take a long time.”
The 20-year-old phenom made the Opening Day roster out of spring and has posted a .300/.360/.550 slash line with six homers and six stolen bases through the first 27 games of his career.
"Hopefully he’s all right," third baseman Manny Machado said. "Hopefully he'll be healthy to continue to doing what he’s been doing on this ballclub. He's someone we really need."
