The New York Yankees can't stay healthy, as another marquee name joined their growing list of injured players.

After Troy Tulowitzki exited Wednesday's loss against the Detroit Tigers with a left calf strain, the Yankees placed the veteran shortstop on the 10-day injured list Thursday.

The club will call up Thairo Estrada to replace Tulowitzki. Utility man Tyler Wade took over in Wednesday's game.

Tulowitzki joined the Yankees on a minor-league deal in January. The oft-injured 34-year-old has a pair of hits this season, including his first home run since 2017.

New York was counting on him to play short until incumbent Didi Gregorius fully recovered from Tommy John surgery.

A five-time All-Star, Tulowitzki is owed $38 million over the next two seasons from the Toronto Blue Jays after being cut in December.

Other Yankees also dealing with injuries include Giancarlo Stanton, Miguel Andujar, Aaron Hicks, CC Sabathia, Dellin Betances, Ben Heller, Luis Severino, Jordan Montgomery, and Jacoby Ellsbury.
