Detroit Pistons star Blake Griffin denied snubbing Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer's pregame handshake.
"As soon as I'm done doing my pregame shooting, I make sure there's a path and I take off running to the locker room and I don't stop running," Griffin told reporters.
When asked if he would shake hands with Ballmer if he was approached at another time, Griffin answered, "I'm honestly not here to answer hypothetical questions."
Griffin spent the first seven-plus seasons of his career with the Clippers. He signed a five-year, $173-million extension in 2017 to remain in Los Angeles and was sold on the idea he would retire with the franchise. However, he was unexpectedly traded to the Pistons last January.
In his first game back in L.A. against the Clippers, Griffin finished with 44 points and eight boards in a 109-104 victory.
