Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts is listed on the NCAA transfer portal, meaning other schools may begin contacting him, a source told Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News.

The development is no surprise, as Hurts is widely expected to transfer for his senior campaign. He's already obtained his degree from Alabama, making him eligible to play for any school immediately.

Hurts started his first two seasons for Alabama, leading the Crimson Tide to the national championship game both years. He lost the starting job to Tua Tagovailoa this season, but became a hero in the SEC title game when he came off the bench to rally Alabama past Georgia in the fourth quarter.

In three years at Alabama, Hurts threw for 5,626 yards with 48 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He was named SEC Offensive Player of the Year as a freshman in 2016.
