Kevin Stefanski is returning to the Minnesota Vikings as offensive coordinator, the team announced.
Stefanski was reportedly a finalist for the Cleveland Browns' head coaching job, along with Freddie Kitchens, who won the job.
The 36-year-old Stefanski began the season as the Vikings quarterbacks coach but was promoted to offensive coordinator after John DeFilippo was fired late in the campaign.
Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer said at the end of the season he wants a more balanced offensive attack in 2019. The Vikings ranked 30th in rushing this season.
