Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic underwent successful surgery to clean up his right knee Wednesday and is expected to be out until around the All-Star break, the team announced.
Dragic has missed much of the season with lingering knee issues, sporadically sitting 15 of Miami's 29 games.
He made a brief return after an eight-game absence and played two of the first three contests in the Heat's recent six-game West Coast road trip.
Miami (13-16) will likely turn to Justise Winslow as starting point guard and will also utilize Josh Richardson, Dwyane Wade, and Tyler Johnson as primary playmakers while Dragic recovers.
The 32-year-old is averaging 15.3 points and 4.9 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.
