It's safe to say Klay Thompson is no longer in a shooting slump.

The Golden State Warriors gunslinger lit up the lowly Chicago Bulls defense for 36 points in the first half Monday night at the United Center, converting 10-of-14 from behind the arc.

Thompson's 10 3-pointers are the most in NBA history by a player in a first half and tie the record for the most in any half. It was on Jan. 24, 2014 when Chandler Parsons sank 10 through the final two quarters as a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Despite being a career 41.9 percent shooter from distance, Thompson entered Monday's matchup with just five makes from the perimeter on 36 attempts for the season (.139).

Golden State ended the half holding a staggering 92-50 lead. The Warriors' 17 makes from 3-point range are also a league record, and their 92 points are a franchise record and the second-most by any team in the first half.
