Instagram is the source of yet another controversy involving a Manchester United player.

A week after a misunderstanding over a post from Paul Pogba caused a temporary rift between the midfielder and Jose Mourinho, United captain Antonio Valencia has issued an apology for liking a post on Instagram that called for the manager to lose his job.

It all kicked off after Tuesday's goalless draw with Valencia in the Champions League group stage, which saw United extend their winless streak in all competitions to four matches.

According to James Ducker of The Telegraph, the message attached to the Instagram post read: "I'm not even surprised about the outcome of this game. I always look forward to our games but recently Mourinho has made watching us a punishment now. Something needs to change. It's time for Mourinho to go."

The 33-year-old reportedly fell out with Mourinho following his apparent refusal to be present for United's League Cup defeat against Derby County last week.

Mourinho and Co. take on Newcastle United on Saturday.
