The first AP Poll of the regular season came out on Tuesday, with LSU and Virginia Tech making the biggest moves after impressive opening-week wins.
LSU jumped 14 spots to No. 11 following a dominant 33-17 victory over Miami, while Virginia Tech vaulted all the way up to No. 12 after routing Florida State 24-3. The Hurricanes' defeat dropped them from No. 8 to No. 22.
The top of the AP poll didn't change much, as No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson, and No. 3 Georgia all held onto their places, though Ohio State leapfrogged Wisconsin to take the No. 4 spot.
Florida State and Texas fell out of the top 25 after both suffering shocking losses.
