Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Bryson DeChambeau will be members of Team USA for the upcoming Ryder Cup in Paris after Jim Furyk named them as captain's picks in an announcement on Tuesday.

The trio join an already stacked American side which includes Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koekpa, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, and Webb Simpson, all of whom qualified automatically through the points system.

Tiger will make his eighth appearance in the team competition, his first since 2012. Woods' impressive performance in the season's last two majors vaulted him into 11th in the season-long points race.

Mickelson's veteran presence will be a welcomed addition to the young American squad as this will be his 12th straight Ryder Cup appearance. He's coming off a strong finish at the Dell Technologies Championship, shooting a final-round 63 to finish in a tie for 12th.

With back-to-back FedEx Cup playoff wins, DeChambeau made the decision easy for Furyk after missing out on automatically qualifying by one spot. There's now plenty of chatter about a potential Bryson-Tiger pairing in Paris.

Furyk still has one spot to fill to round out his team of 12, a selection that will come Sept. 10 after the BMW Championship. Tony Finau seems the most likely to grab the last spot with Matt Kuchar and Kevin Kisner also in the conversation.

The European captain, Thomas Bjorn, will make his four selections Wednesday.

The Ryder Cup begins Sept. 28 at Le Golf National in Paris. Team Europe will be looking for their sixth straight win on home soil.
