Arizona sophomore forward Ira Lee has been charged with "super extreme" driving under the influence, the Wildcats announced on Tuesday, via the Arizona Daily Star's Caitlin Schmidt.
Lee, 20, was charged with failing to yield at an intersection, DUI as a minor, and super extreme DUI following a traffic stop on Saturday in Tucson. Super extreme DUI is an Arizona state statute in which the blood alcohol content is recorded at 0.20 or higher. It's a misdemeanor, and a conviction carries a minimum jail term.
The 6-foot-7 Lee only played 10 minutes per game as a freshman last season, but he's one of just four returning frontcourt players for the Wildcats in 2018-19.
