Report: Fedor vs. Sonnen Heavyweight Grand Prix semifinal set for Oct. 13

Fedor Emelianenko and Chael Sonnen will face off in the semifinal of Bellator's Heavyweight Grand Prix on Oct. 13 at Long Island's renovated Nassau Coliseum, a source told Newsday's Mark La Monica.

It's Bellator's first trip to Long Island.

Ryan Bader and Matt Mitrione are set to fight in the tournament's other semifinal the day prior to the Emelianenko-Sonnen matchup.

Emelianenko defeated Frank Mir via first-round TKO to earn his semifinal berth, while Sonnen took a unanimous decision over Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.
