Continuing his climb up the illustrious ranks of historic sluggers, Albert Pujols' two-homer night against the Seattle Mariners elevated the Los Angeles Angels first baseman into a tie with Ken Griffey Jr. for sixth all time with 630 long balls.

Pujols, 38, now has 16 homers on the season as he continues to surpass players already enshrined in Cooperstown. Pujols also ranks sixth all time in runs batted in, and collected his 3,000th hit in early May. Currently, he is tied for 24th with Rickey Henderson at 3,055 knocks.

The next player in Pujols' sights is Willie Mays, who sits fifth all time with 660 home runs. With that being said, Pujols is under contract with the Halos for three more seasons beyond 2018, so he could end up achieving that feat, even at his current pace.
