The Baltimore Orioles are motivated to move Manny Machado, but their asking price remains more than potential suitors are willing to offer.

Three weeks before the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline, clubs reportedly aren't close to giving what the Orioles are demanding in trade talks, sources told Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.

No shortage of teams have reportedly expressed interest in Machado, with the Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia Phillies all linked to the impending free agent in recent weeks.

The Orioles held onto Machado over the winter after they didn't receive an attractive enough offer, but the club's now believed to be seeking a deal as soon as possible in order to maximize the return.

The 26-year-old shortstop is the top position player on the market after hitting .308/.378/.561 with 21 home runs and 18 doubles in 85 games.
