The Houston Rockets are far from front-runners to land LeBron James, but they haven't abandoned hope just yet.

According to Sam Amick of USA TODAY, the Rockets are still "all-in" on their pursuit of James despite comments to the contrary made by James Harden at the NBA Award show on Monday night.

“We were a half away from the Finals, so I don't think there is a piece that we need to bring in or take away,” Harden said. "We're great with what we have, from top to bottom, from the front office to coaching staff to players, personnel. Our main focus is just getting better, getting healthier, and doing what we do."

Houston will be waiting intently on James' decision with respect to his $35.6-million player option for 2018-19. The Rockets are tight for cap room given their preference to re-sign both Clint Capela and Chris Paul, so trading for James might be the most feasible move, even if that would require a team to bite on Ryan Anderson's cumbersome contract.

The Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Cleveland Cavaliers are also in the mix to sign James.
