D'Antoni says Paul is questionable for Game 7
Houston Rockets head coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters on a conference call that Chris Paul will be listed as questionable for Monday night's Game 7 against the Golden State Warriors.
D'Antoni added that Paul has yet to actually test out his injured hamstring, but the rehab process has been non-stop and going well, as per TNT's David Aldridge.
"We'll just have to play it by ear," D'Antoni said, via ESPN's Tim McMahon.
"I think it's a game-time decision. Probably doubtful, however they list it, or questionable. They will eventually test it and see if there's any possibility whatsoever."
Although Paul traveled with the Rockets to the Bay Area for Game 6 and even sat on the bench in uniform, he did not play.
Despite a strong start in which the Rockets jumped out to a double-digit lead after the first quarter, the team's shortened rotation missed Paul's calming presence and execution down the stretch before the game got out of hand in the 115-86 loss.
Even if Paul is playing at below 100 percent, Houston hopes to have him back in the lineup for a shot at reaching the franchise's first NBA Finals since the 1994-95 season.
