Ricky Rubio won't make his second-round debut Sunday after all.

The Utah Jazz announced their starting point guard won't play in Game 4 against the Houston Rockets as he continues to nurse a left hamstring strain.

Rubio suffered the injury in Utah's series-clinching Game 6 versus the Oklahoma City Thunder and could only watch as his side dropped two of the first three games in the Western Conference semifinals to the No. 1-seeded Rockets.

The Spanish point guard was reportedly set to miss about 10 days with the ailment, with Sunday marking the eighth since his diagnosis. He was upgraded to questionable Saturday, but hasn't proved to be ready to go.

Coach Quin Snyder has so far passed the offense-running duties to rookie shooting guard Donovan Mitchell, who hasn't exactly thrived in the role. The Jazz will look to even the series Sunday night at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
