Police officers commandeered golf carts to break up an eight-man brawl at a course in Stockton Brook, England last week.

The officers responded to reports of an incident at Greenway Hall Golf Club at around 1:55 p.m. local time Friday, according to Rob Andrews and James Rodger of Birmingham Live. They hopped onto two golf carts to race to the scene, where they arrested four men on suspicion of assault.

The altercation is believed to have been started over an argument about slow play.

"I'm very proud of my officers," chief inspector John Owen said. "They've used initiative, gone to a fight (as we always do) outnumbered, and have resolved it resulting in peace and order. Hole in one I'd say!"

Police later released the golfers without charges, despite revealing that weapons were used in the altercation and "bones had been broken."
