Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic underwent an MRI at the conclusion of the 2017-18 regular season, which revealed a slight tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee.

He will therefore undergo a "minimally invasive" meniscus debridement procedure in New York City, and is expected to make a full recovery, the Kings announced, per Rob Lopez of Def Pen Sports.

The 25-year-old Serbian inked a three-year, $27-million contract with the organization last summer. Bogdanovic was selected 27th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2014 draft, with his rights then sent to Sacramento in a trade for the rights to Marquese Chriss.

Bogdanovic averaged 11.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 44.6 percent shooting across 78 appearances this past season. He was also named Most Valuable Player of the Rising Stars game during All-Star weekend.
