Ettore Messina isn't the only San Antonio Spurs assistant the Charlotte Hornets have their eyes on.

Ime Udoka will reportedly interview for the Hornets' coaching vacancy later this week, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

He joins Messina - who's been coaching the Spurs in the playoffs following the recent passing of Gregg Popovich's wife - and former Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale as names reportedly slated to meet with the Hornets for the position this week.

Udoka suited up for 316 games across seven seasons in the NBA, three of which came as a member of the Spurs. He's served as an assistant under Popovich since August 2012.

Other coaches now working across the league who have been under Popovich's tutelage include Brett Brown, Mike Brown, and Mike Budenholzer.

The Spurs currently trail 3-0 in their opening-round series with the reigning champion Golden State Warriors, with Game 4 taking place Sunday afternoon at the AT&T Center.
