Yankees' Judge passes Mark McGwire to become fastest to 60 career HRs
Aaron Judge just keeps swinging a mighty bat at a record pace.
With a crushing wallop in the bottom of the second inning off Miami Marlins starter Caleb Smith, the New York Yankees outfielder became the fastest player to reach the 60 home-run mark, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

It took Judge only 197 games to crush 60 homers, eclipsing the previous low of 202 set by previous record-holder Mark McGwire in May 1988. The gap may have been wider had Judge not struggled to make contact during his brief debut in 2016. Despite hitting four homers in 27 games, he hit only .179 and struck out in 44.2 percent of his plate appearances.
Last season, Judge set a new MLB record for home runs by a rookie after smoking 52 long balls, also unseating McGwire in the process.
