Donovan Mitchell's injury might be more serious than expected.

The Utah Jazz guard is dealing with a left foot contusion, the team announced Monday. Utah will determine on Tuesday whether its leading scorer will play in Wednesday's Game 2 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Mitchell suffered the injury Sunday in Game 1 when Corey Brewer stepped on his foot. He underwent an X-ray at halftime and re-entered the contest before being pulled for good midway through the fourth quarter of the 116-108 loss.

It was previously reported Mitchell's MRI came back negative.

The No. 13 pick posted 27 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in his playoff debut. He said afterward he felt fine and that his stubbed toe was "nothing major."
