D-Backs' Walker removed from start with right forearm tightness

Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Taijuan Walker was removed from Saturday's start against the Los Angeles Dodgers after two innings with right forearm tightness.

Walker was visited by a member of the training staff with one out in the second inning but remained in the game and faced another five batters. He did not return for the start of the third, however.

Walker said after the game that he's not concerned by the tightness. He's not scheduled to undergo an MRI or any other testing, according to Zach Buchanan of The Athletic.

"Just a little tightness," he told reporters, including Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. "My forearm was a little tight and I didn't really want to push it, so I came out. I wanted to be smart about it."

The 25-year-old allowed one run off four hits and a walk while striking out two on 41 pitches. He entered the night with a 3.27 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in 11 innings.
