Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to compete on 'DWTS: Athletes'

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is taking his talents to the ballroom floor.

The basketball legend was among the "Dancing With the Stars: Athletes" cast members announced Friday morning on "Good Morning America."

Also competing on the first all-athletes edition of the ABC program are Notre Dame star Arike Ogunbowale, Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, Olympic figure skaters Tonya Harding, Mirai Nagasu, and Adam Rippon, former MLB outfielder Johnny Damon, Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson, Olympic luger Chris Mazdzer, and Olympic softball pitcher Jennie Finch.

The season premieres April 30 and runs for four weeks.
