Here, theScore collects the best statistics from a captivating round of quarter-final bouts.

1: Cristiano Ronaldo is now the first player to amass 10 goals against a single team in the Champions League. Real Madrid's gripping defeat of Juventus also marks the first time a team has reached eight consecutive semi-finals.

2: Only three previous teams have the dubious distinction of scoring two own goals in one Champions League match, as Roma did in its first-leg tussle with Barcelona. In this case, however, both guilty parties, Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas, made amends by scoring in the unthinkable second-leg comeback.

2.77: Height in metres at which Ronaldo's right boot connected with the ball for his phenomenal overhead kick in the first leg against Juventus, according to calculations from Ed Aaron of the Guardian.

3: Roma is only the third side in the tournament's history to overturn a first-leg deficit of three or more goals.

6: Edin Dzeko has the most goals ever recorded by a Roma player in a single Champions League season.

8: Number of goals scored by Egyptian attacker Mohamed Salah in this Champions League campaign. The only other African to reach that total is Cameroonian great Samuel Eto'o in 2010-11, who helped Inter to the quarter-finals with eight of his own.

13: Tally of shots Manchester City managed against Liverpool in the first half of their second meeting. Pep Guardiola's side hit just 11 in the entire opening leg.

14: Number of previous occasions on which Barcelona progressed into the next round after winning the first leg by at least a three-goal margin. The Roma disaster was the Blaugrana's first failure to complete the job with that considerable advantage.

33: Liverpool's scoring haul in this Champions League term is the most goals by an English team in a solitary season.

96:55: Time on the clock when Ronaldo rocketed his penalty past Wojciech Szczesny. Barring fixtures that went into extra time, it was the latest goal recorded in the Champions League since November 2003.

100: Percentage of Isco's passes that found their mark in both the first leg against Juventus and the opening half of the reverse fixture.

1984: The year in which Roma last reached the final four of Europe's elite competition. In the 1983-94 edition, it met Dundee United in the last four but was beaten by Liverpool on penalties in the final.

1999: Juventus went almost 19 years without conceding three goals in the home leg of a Champions League knockout fixture before Real Madrid came into town. The last occasion was Manchester United's classic 3-2 victory in Turin en route to its historic treble.
