Social media worked its magic to help a man diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer fulfill his dream of meeting Tiger Woods.

After a family friend was able to secure two tickets for Shane Caldwell to attend the Masters, his stepdaughter, Jordan Miller, posted on Facebook and Twitter asking for help to make his wish a reality.

"What are the chances these two are going to be in the same place at the same time again?" Miller told Jay Busbee of Yahoo Sports. "It was such a crazy idea that I decided to go for it, and I started harassing people until I got my way."

The tweet eventually found its way to Woods' girlfriend, Erica Herman, whom Miller credits with making the meeting happen.

"Her and Tiger both lost their fathers to cancer. So they probably understand a little more than most what it's like to go through that," Miller said.

Miller was told to have Caldwell on the driving range at Augusta between 9:10 and 9:15 a.m. Thursday. Once Woods completed his session, he walked over to Caldwell and handed over a signed glove that read, "Stay strong!! Tiger Woods." Caldwell responded, "Knock 'em dead, Tiger!"
