In the 14th inning of a marathon game Friday against the Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez left with a leg cramp.

After a foul ball from Adam Jones, Sanchez grabbed his right calf before walking off the field with training staff. He was replaced defensively by Austin Romine.

"It just happened on one pitch, that's when I felt the cramp," Sanchez told Bryan Hoch of MLB.com postgame. "The doctor checked me and told me it was a cramp. Just going to wait and see how I feel tomorrow."

Over the 14 innings, Sanchez worked behind the dish for 256 pitches between eight Yankees pitchers.

Following the injury, Jonathan Holder and Romine completed the strikeout of Adam Jones before allowing a grand slam to Pedro Alvarez. The Orioles wound up closing out the victory 7-3 in the bottom of the frame.

The Yankees continue their four-game set against the Orioles on Saturday in an afternoon contest.
