Tyler Hilinski's brother commits to South Carolina

Ryan Hilinski announced his commitment to South Carolina on Wednesday after originally planning to make his choice public in May.

The four-star quarterback is the brother of former Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski, who committed suicide in January.

Ryan said he asked his brother for "guidance" and said he has "never felt better about a decision" than choosing the Gamecocks.

"South Carolina is family," he said, according to Adam Gorney of Rivals.com. "They haven't stopped treating me the same way since they started recruiting me. I feel comfortable there and I think it's the best place for myself and for my family."

Ryan is currently ranked the No. 11 pro-style quarterback in the country.
