Former NBA player O.J. Mayo has signed a contract with Puerto Rican team Atleticos de San German, sources told Yahoo's Shams Charania.

Mayo was "dismissed and disqualified" for two years by the NBA in 2016 for violating terms of the league's anti-drug program. He is eligible to apply for reinstatement on July 1, and has spoken of a desire to make an NBA comeback.

The No. 3 pick in the 2008 draft last played for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2015-16. Known as a volume shooter, Mayo averaged 13.8 points in 547 career NBA games.
